INSERTING
:: Place collet into the nut at an angle as shown to engage eccentric projection of nut with groove of collet.
:: Press the collet as shown to engage the collet in to the nut.
:: Only then mount nut and collet together into the coller holder or machine spindle.

 

 

RELEASING
:: Unscrew the nut from collet chuck.
:: Hold the nut in hand and press the colelt by other hand as shown in figure.
 

               NOTE ::
Never use a 14 -13 mm collet to clamp 14.2mm dia shank, but rather use a 15 - 14mm collet.
